Maria Bueno found a new friend waiting in London – Nelson!<\/p><\/div>\n

Maria arrived in London ahead of her commitments at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals being held at the O2 Arena in Greenwich, starting this coming Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like to come ahead of time if I can, to get settled and prepare,\u201d she told her website. \u201cIt\u2019s also my home from home so its a chance to catch up with friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year she has a new friend in London, who has arrived at her hosts\u2019 home – a Scottish Terrier puppy called Nelson.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is lovely!\u201d Maria laughs. \u201cJust five months old and full of beans, but his baby teeth are pretty scary – like tiny needles – and if you aren\u2019t careful he \u2018sharks\u2019 you!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great fun seeing him learn and explore. The other day he was astonished to see his reflection in the kitchen bin and kept barking and barking!\u201d<\/p>\n

Maria, who has always loved animals and had many of her own, has been helping out by walking Nelson and sitting with him from time to time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey [animals] fill up the house and bring a home alive so he is definitely a great addition to the family!<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was fascinated by all the callers on Halloween night, who rang the bell tricking or treating.<\/p>\n

He couldn\u2019t understand it all and wanted the treats! We are hoping he doesn\u2019t get too bothered by fireworks night.\u201d<\/p>\n
