The final of the Rio Open proved to be a tough two-setter and a great win for Dominic Thiem, but he came away happy after beating Pablo Carreno Busta in the final.<\/p>\n

Maria Esther Bueno was on hand to see the Austrian add to his tally of 8 ATP Tour titles and collect 500 points in the Rankings.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a very exciting player, just 23 years old and well established already in the top 10,\u201d she said. \u201cHe has been as high as 6 and is now 9th, I think.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like the way he plays because he builds points and isn\u2019t afraid to come to the net.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is especially good on clay and admits his main goal is to win Paris.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thiem claimed his 7-5 6-4 victory over the Spaniard after Busta went ahead in the first set by securing a break to lead 3-2 before the Austrian broke back and went on to take the set.<\/p>\n
